Demand An APVMA Review

demand an apvma review

The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has the legislative power to stop animals from suffering a traumatic death by 1080 poison.

This petition calls on the APVMA to urgently, thoroughly, and transparently reconsider the approval and registration of 1080 poison.

1080 poison is a “homicidal poison” capable of killing “third-hand”. It is one of the most toxic and indiscriminate poisons found anywhere in the world. Officials have placed it in the same restricted regulatory schedule as other notorious poisons like cyanide and arsenic. Despite this, the Australian Government permits it’s use to kill unwanted or unwelcome wildlife.

1080 is inhumane and there is no antidote.

Veterinarians are powerless against 1080, their only advice is euthanasia. Death can take up to 48 hours (or two full days) after ingestion. It has been described as being relentlessly electrocuted for days on end. No animal deserves to endure this suffering.

Stand with us today Australia. Enough is enough, together, we can ban 1080.
