Capertree National Park
AERIAL BAITING: 26 August - 8 September 2024
Capertee National Park is located approximately 115 kms north of Lithgow, on the western side of the Blue Mountains. It spans an area of 6,796 hectares and is part of a network of protected areas, including the Mugii Murum-ban State Conservation Area, Wollemi National Park, and Gardens of Stone National Park. It is home to the critically endangered regent honeyeater, as well as other threatened bird species. Additionally, it serves as a habitat for native Australian wildlife, including kangaroos, wallaroos, wallabies, and gliders.
The baiting activities undertaken at Capertee National Park are managed by the Mudgee Office of the NPWS.
