Kangaroo River Nature Reserve

Kangaroo River Nature Reserve is located on the floor of the Kangaroo Valley in the Southern Highlands and South Coast regions of New South Wales, approximately 150 km south of Sydney, 50 km southwest of Wollongong, and 16 km northwest of Nowra. It was established in 2001 and covers an area of 126 hectares. The reserve is covered by a management plan as part of the Kangaroo Valley Group of Nature Reserves, which aims to protect endangered, critically endangered, and vulnerable species and ecological communities.
The baiting activities undertaken at Kangaroo River Nature Reserve are managed by the Shoalhaven office of the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
