Meringo Nature Reserve

Meringo Nature Reserve was established in January 2001 and spans 49 hectares. It is part of the Merriangaah, Quidong, and Meringo Nature Reserves group. The reserve contains a mix of dry forest ecosystems typical of the region. It supports native flora and fauna, including species listed under the NSW Threatened Species Conservation Act, such as the glossy black cockatoo and brown treecreeper.

The baiting activities undertaken at Meringo Nature Reserve are managed by the Jindabyne office of the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
