Nocoleche Nature Reserve

AERIAL BAITING: 11 March - 6 June 2025

Nocoleche Nature Reserve is a protected area in western NSW. Located near the Paroo River and approximately 170 km northwest of Bourke, this reserve covers an area of over 100,000 hectares. It is home to diverse plant and animal species, many of whom are adapted to arid and flood-dependent ecosystems. Notable species include kangaroos, emus, and various waterbirds like pelicans and ibis who depend on the Paroo River's wetland system.

The baiting activities undertaken at Nocoleche Nature Reserve are managed by the Bourke office of the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
