Yaouk Nature Reserve

Yaouk Nature Reserve is a protected area located in the Southern Tablelands region of New South Wales, approximately 50km southwest of Cooma and close to the northern border of the Kosciuszko National Park. Yaouk Nature Reserve is home to a wide array of wildlife, including kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, and various bird species, such as the wedge-tailed eagle, crimson rosella, and superb lyrebird. The reserve also supports a variety of reptiles and amphibians.
The baiting activities undertaken at Yaouk Nature Reserve are managed by the Tumut office of the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
