Goulburn River National Park

Goulburn River National Park is located in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, approximately 213 kms northwest of Sydney, near the towns of Mudgee, Sandy Hollow, Denman, and Merriwa. The park was established in 1983 and covers an area of 722.96 square kms. It is a sanctuary for a variety of wildlife, including kangaroos, wombats, emus, goannas, platypus, and a wide range of bird species. The park is also part of the Mudgee-Wollar Important Bird Area, which is significant for the conservation of the endangered regent honeyeater.
The baiting activities undertaken at Goulburn River National Park are managed by the Mudgee Office of the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
