Mares Forest National Park

Mares Forest National Park is a protected area located in the Southern Tablelands region of New South Wales. It was established in 2001 and covers an area of 25.58 square kms. The park is home to diverse native fauna. Visitors can spot various bird species hiding in kurrajong trees, lizards sunbathing on rocks during summer, and kangaroos, wallabies, and wombats typically seen at dusk.
The baiting activities undertaken at Mares Forest National Park are managed by the Oberon office of the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
